The Chairman of the National Chapters Committee (NCC) of Hearts of Oak, Elvis Herman Hesse Jr has revealed how hard it is for Hearts of Oak for playing just only one leg of the preliminary stage of the CAF Champions League against CI Kamsar in Accra due to coup d’état in Guinea.
The Phobians were supposed to play against the Guinean based club Kamsar in Conacry before the second league in Accra but the game was cancelled due to coup d’état.
CAF have decided for both teams to play just one in Accra on 16 September, 2021.
Many of Phobia supporters were happy to see their boys playing in just one leg in Accra after CAF came out with the decision.
In an interview with the NCC chairman on Max FM he narrated how difficult it is for them but also an advantage for his guys to prepare well.
“If you’ve been in football for quite sometime, you would know that we stand at a very critical moment when you are not playing both home and awaya as we use to know.
“We shouldn’t have to jubilate over it but rather to be very careful and prepare very well because it is going to just be a one match and it comes with a lot of issues. For instance if you are unable to win there will be a penalty shootout. All those things create tension on the boys.
“Many may think that we stand as an advantage team but I don’t see it that way but I see it as an opportunity for us to prepare well and that will ensure that we will qualify to the next stage of the competition. He told Max FM.
