Ghana premier league giants Asante Kotoko have reached agreement to sign a lucrative sponsorship deal with German company Jungle Energy Drink, with the deal set to be officially signed, sealed and made public on Saturday.
The Porcupine Warriors are set to announce the deal on Saturday, hours before their blockbuster Confederations cup group C match day four clash against Zambia’s Nkana FC on Sunday, and club policy analyst Yaw Amoh Sarpong tells FOX sports desk his outfit will receive products and cash price of the deal in a form of cheque from the German firm immediately after the contract is inked on Saturday.
‘The top most priority (of the George Amoako led management) was our kits sponsorship, the second equally important thing was our drinking water partner and next is the energy drink partner and we’ve had a German energy drink production coming on board, and the deal will be signed this Saturday’, Yaw Amo Sarpong told Fox sports.
When signed, Jungle Energy Drink will become official beverage sponsors of the 1971 and 1983 CAF Champions league champions Asante Kotoko, and Amoh Sarpong has revealed that the first phase of products from the deal will be delivered to the club immediately after the deal is signed tomorrow.
‘The deal will start from this Saturday and immediately after signing (the deal), the cheque and products will all follow instantly’, he disclosed.
Kotoko players and technical bench will likely go into the match against Nkana FC on Sunday with energy drinks from Jungle Energy Drink available for consumption to boost in the must win match against the 12 times Zambian league winners.
The yet to be signed deal will run for three years for the first phase subject to renewal.
The current management of Kotoko have already landed sponsorship deals with Portugal kit manufacturing company Strike as their kit suppliers, as well as Paradise Parc Mineral water as official waters partners, and have now added up with Jungle Energy Drink.
