Indignant ex member of the Ghana FA Normalization Committee (NC) lawyer Kofi Dua-Adonteng says he suspects foul play from within the interim Ghana football administration body following FIFA’s decision to terminate his membership with the said body, and has triggered the process to demand instant explanations from the world football governing body.
The legal practitioner was sacked from the NC by FIFA on Thursday following a request by Dr. Kofi Amoah, president of the committee for an alleged under performance on the side of the legal expert, an allegation he firmly denies.
The aggrieved lawyer has confirmed in an interview with FOX FM on Rush Hour Sports that he suspects conspiracy against him within the Committee and has begun steps to seek explanations from FIFA over his “shocking” ex parte removal from the NC.
“For me I know it’s some people (within the NC) who have conspired against me, for these years the work I have done in football since time immemorial FIFA has had nothing wrong against me neither have I changed in character”, Dua-Adonteng stated. “I suspect foul play over my removal and I believe there has been a conspiracy from within (the Normalization Committee against me), he insisted.
Asked whether he intends to seek for explanations from FIFA over the situation, the former Asante Kotoko Board member answered in affirmation, saying he has already begun the process.
“As for that (seeking explanations from FIFA) I have started working on it already”, he confirmed. “Of course (I will do that before the NC’s 31st March mandate is due), between today and tomorrow (Friday)”, Dua-Adonteng concluded.
He however insists that he is not worried so much over the decision but for FIFA to take such a decion on ex parte grounds with no explanations beats his imagination, hence the suspicion of a foul play.
“For me I’m not worried but the reason why I’m told I have been removed without me knowing, and they not telling me what the reasons are that is what I don’t understand, that means there has been a conspiracy from some people”, the astute lawyer stated in amazement.
