Techiman Eleven Wonders hot in demand right back Kojo Amoako is close to joining Asante Kotoko after the Porcupine Warriors stepped up their interest in signing him.
Amoako, a former player of Wamanafo Nea Salamina has been very instrumental in the recent resurgent form of the Techiman based club, and Asante Kotoko are ready to splash the cash to secure his services sooner than later.
With skipper Amos Frimpong and Augustine Sefa not having age on their side to be relied upon for the future, the capture of Amoako would prove to be much profitable to the CAF Champions League ambitions of CK Akonnor’s side.
Kojo Amoako who hails from Pankrono was recently in Kumasi and, though the reason for his visit is unclear, it is believed the move was to prepare the grounds for further talks with Kotoko officials to make the deal a reality. Sources close to the player indicates he is ever ready to wear the red jersey but the rest is down to Eleven Wonders to strike a deal with record domestic league champions.
Asante Kotoko will host Eleven Wonders at the Baba Yara sports stadium on Wednesday in week 12 of the ongoing Normalization Committee Special Competition, and Amoako is like to meet officials of Kotoko to accelerate the deal and push it to its finality.
