Karela United star striker Diawisie Taylor has confirmed to Focal sports talks are ongoing between his club and Kotoko for a potential transfer to the Baba yara stadium, revealing his availability subject to agreement between the two clubs in question.
Taylor seems to have given the Porcupine Warriors a bigger hope than ever in their pursuit for his signature after revealing in an interview with Focal sports his desire to pull-on the red jersey.
Talks are far advanced between Asante Kotoko and Karela over the transfer of Taylor to the Garden city, and the former Bibiani Gold Star talisman has confirmed the talks, revealing his desires as well.
“Everything is in the hands of my managers, they (Kotoko) have been in talks with my managers (referring to officials of Karela United)”, Taylor told Focal sports.
According to the in-form striker his concentration as a player for now is on the ongoing NC Special competition but have left all negotiations in the hands of Karela since he remains contracted to the Aiyinase based club.
“You know because of the tournament I have to concentrate on training and other things so I’ve told them (Karela) to talk to them because I have a contract with them so everything is being done with my managers”, he said.
To clear every doubt over his interest concerning his future, Taylor puts it clear his intentions when asked if he really wants to play for Kotoko.
“Oh, why not, if I get (the opportunity) I will play, in Ghana here Kotoko is a big club and every player if you are playing football you play to move forward, so why not, if I get (the chance) I will play”, he confessed.
Diawisie Taylor is in red hot form, having scored 10 goals in the NC Competition, one more than Asante Kotoko’s leading scorer in the competition Abdul Fataw Shafiu. Taylor won the goal king in the division one zone two with 26 goals in the division’s league during his days at Bibiani Gold Stars, and has been a hot cake for several clubs in the local league, but Asante Kotoko have taken a giant lead in pursuit of the king of the Aiyinase CAM Park.
