The blockbuster clash between Asante Kotoko and Accra Hearts of Oak at the Accra sports stadium has recorded a gross of GHC 355,000 from the gate proceeds, giving a good account of a better attendance of the penultimate clash.
After all legitimate deductions, both Hearts of Oak and Kotoko have both enriched themselves with a total sum of GHC 98, 000 each, with the Normalization Committee (NC) making do with GHC 21, 000 as agreed before the match.
In total, the NC printed 37,000 match tickets for the match, out of which 27,272 were sold out across the various categories.
Initial agreement on disbursement of the gate proceeds before the match stood at 45% each for Hearts and Kotoko and 10% for the NC, the GFA so to speak, and the disbursement has gone as planned without any qualms.
