Ghana premier league record 23-time champions Asante have announced that midfielder Richard Senanu has finally been granted visa by the German Embassy of Ghana to undergo a long-awaited surgery in Germany.
Senanu picked up an in injury while playing for Asante Kotoko in the CAF Confederations Cup against Zambia’s Zesco United in a 2-1 win for the Porcupine Warriors in February. The knee ligament injury ruled the sensational midfielder out of a crucial clash against Nkana FC and the rest of Kotoko’s matches in the competition before finishing third in group C to exit the competition at the group stage.
The midfielder was earlier denied a visa by the German Embassy for unknown reasons, but the midfielder who has been kept at the sidelines for months has now been granted the green light to fly to Germany to undergo the long-awaited surgery.
“The German Embassy in Ghana has granted Richard Senanu a visa to enter the country for his surgery after an earlier denial”, the club announced via its official twitter account.
Richard Sanu has been scheduled to depart Ghana on Wednesday for Germany ahead of his surgery.
