The management of Accra Hearts of Oak have rapidly debunked reports that the club has withdrawn from the 2019 Presidential Cup scheduled for next month.
The rainbow boys have been unhesitatingly chosen and tasked to play against their ever rivals Asante Kotoko in the 2019 edition of the annual Presidential Cup on Sunday, September 1.
Without any official source(s) quoted for substantiating, media reports on Tuesday claimed that the Accra based Ghana football giants have pulled out of the competition on grounds of insufficient preparations for the encounter. Accra Hearts of Oak have swiftly and unequivocally denied such reports without further assurances of whether or not they intend to play or withdraw based on any conditions.
“The @Heartsofoakgh Management wishes to inform the general sporting public, especially, the club ‘s followers that it has not pulled out of the 2019 President Cup match as reported by a section of the media. All such reports should be ignored”, a statement on the club’s official Twitter Account insisted.
Barring any unforeseen eventualities, the 2019 Presidential Cup is expect to be played on Sunday, September 1 at a yet to be named venue.
