Black Stars B head coach Maxwell Konadu has dropped sixteen (16) players from the squad to face Burkina Faso in the CHAN qualifier this month and as well represent Ghana in the upcoming WAFU tournament in Senegal this month.
The Black Stars B will host Burkina Faso for the first leg of the CHAN qualifier on Sunday, 22nd September, 2019 before flying out to Senegal to face Gambia on the 28th of this month for the WAFU tournament opener.
Ahead of the crucial encounter against Burkina Faso on Sunday, coach Maxwell Konadu has chopped off 16 players from the squad in his quest to get the number to at least 23 for the tournament in Dakar.
Hearts of Oak trio Benjamin Afutu Kotey, Abdul Umar Manaf ‘Gumar Junior’ and Benjamin Agyare have all been axed, as well as Aduana Stars duo, goalkeeper Joseph Addo Fatawu Abdul Rahman. Below is the full list:
