Ghana has been drawn in group B for the upcoming CAF Total U-23 Africa Cup of Nations Egypt 2019 during the draw held in Alexandria, Egypt on Wednesday.
The draw was held at the Haramlek Palace, Alexandria, Egypt at the historical Montaza Complex where the Black Meteors have been pitted against hosts Egypt, Mali and debutants Cameroon in group A.
Holders Nigeria were also drawn in group B along with South Africa, Zambia and Cote D’Ivoire.
The draw which pitted the eight qualified teams into a group of four, was conducted by former Egypt international Emad Meteab, assisted by Samson Adamu who currently functions as CAF Director of competitions.
The competition has been scheduled to take off on 8th November through to 22nd November, 2019, with the matches to be played at the Cairo International stadium and Al Salam stadium.
The top three teams of the final tournament will qualify to represent Africa in the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games.
