Ghana Football Association (GFA) President Kurt Edwin Simeon Okraku has met one of Ghana’s greatest dance hall musicians Charles Nii Armah Mensah poularly know in the music industry as Shatta Wale in what can be described as transfer of admiration into unification.
The GFA boss, prior to the FA elections on October 25 this year, stated on several platforms during his campaign, that he draws his inspiration from the iconic Dance hall musician, who, from a very humble beginning, has now risen through the ranks of the music industry to become an international figure.
The former Dreams FC Executive Chairman met with the multiple award winning singer in a place suspected to the musician’s residence accompanied by few of his entourage where they shared pleasantries and talks about personal matters.
To recall, Mr. Okraku’s campaign featured Shatta Wale’s hit song “Kill them with Prayers” as an inspiration to him and this now makes it understandable why the GFA boss paid the artiste a visit after coming out winner of the polls.
After the said meeting, Shatta Wale took to his facebook page pictures of himself with the new FA boss, and accompanied it with a message of what transpired.
“It’s a dawn of a new beginning for Ghana football!” Wale wrote. I had a great time with the newly elected GFA president, Kurt E. S. Okraku, discussing how to empower the youth and move Ghana football to the next level!”, he revealed.
