Ghana Premier league side Kumasi based King Faisal are in advanced talks with former Wa All Stars coach Nurudeen Ahmed to take over the coaching job of the Kumasi based club.

King Faisal were relegated from the premier league into the lower division at the end of the 2013-2014 premier league season after finishing 14th in the 16 team league after accumulating 38 points in 30 matches at the end of the league season, 2 points below 13th placed Liberty Professionals on the league log.

Meanwhile, the favour fell on King Faisal and Accra Great Olympics after delegate members at the 2019 Ghana Footballl Association (GFA) Extra Ordinary Congress approved a proposed 18-team league by the outgoing Normalization Committee of the GFA, which meant King Faisal have officially returned to Ghana’s elite division after five years of absence.

The Babies have agreed terms with the former Wa All Stars manager Nurudeen Ahmed and the CAF Licence A coach is set to be announced the new coach of the club in the coming days.

Former Black Stars, Bayern Munich super star Samuel Osei Kuffour, who began his playing career with King Faisal and is on his way to takeover the club. President and bankroler of the Babies, Alhaji Karim Grunsah has held much advanced talks with his former employee Sammy Kuffour over a takeover bid that will see the former Black Stars defender become the sole financier of the club, and Nurudeen will feel much happy working under the Kuffour administration.

Terms have been agreed pending official signing of the needed documents to be followed by official announcement as coach Nurudeen prepares to assume duties and prepare the team for the coming season.
