Former Asante Kotoko midfield maestro Jordan Opoku has rejoined his former club Berekum Chelsea on a permanent deal, the club has announced.
The Feyenoord Academy graduate completed his move to the Golden City park outfit on the transfer deadline day after leaving Asante Kotoko at the end of his season long deal at the Baba Yara stadium.
“Jordan Opoku is BACK! The midfielder returns to #Bkcfc after a long spell with @AsanteKotoko_SC. The midfielder signs on a permanent deal”, Chelsea announced via its official twitter account on Tuesday.
After his first stint with Asante Kotoko between 2006-2011 before joining Berekum Chelseas between 2012-2013 after short loan spell Dinamo Tirana in Albania after leaving Kotoko. He returned to the Porcupines where he spent about two seasons.
Jordan traveled abroad to continue his career in Iraq and Thailand before returning to Asante Kotoko in 2018 for a season long deal which ended in 2019. He left the Kumase based club at the end of his one year deal, and has now joined his former club Berekum Chelsea. The number of years he signed has been withheld by the club which will be made known later.
