Ghana Premier League (GPL) Inter Allies football club have issued an official statement warning clubs in the domestic league to get their hands off their star striker Victorien Adje Adebayor, saying they consider attempts by the clubs to speak to the player as “inducement”.In an official release on the club’s official website, Inter Allies threatened to report any club and or football agent(s) who tries to engage the player in talks for transfer to the Player and Coaches Status Committee of the Ghana Football Association.This comes after the player was seen in the private car of Togbe Afede XIV, majority shareholder of Accra Hearts of Oak, driving him home after the Phobians FA Cup match against Danbort FC on Sunday. The development has raised the hopes of the supporters of Hearts of Oak who believe the Nigerien international is close to joining their darling club. On the contrary, the Tema based club has issued official warning to all clubs who dare to lure the player from them.
Adebayor is currently the leading goal scorer in the ongoing premier league with 11 goals in 10 matches so far in the 11 weeks old campaign.
Check the full release by Inter Allies on their star man below:”It has come to our notice, that some Ghanaian Premier League Clubs and their agents are unlawfully inducing our Forward Victorien Adebayor contrary to the FIFA regulations on the Status and Transfer of players.
We shall report any further attempt by the said Clubs to the Players Status Committee of the Ghana Football Association.Currently, Inter Allies and the Players agent are considering Six (6) offers from Europe, One (1) from UAE and One (1) from Saudi Arabia.
Victorien Adebayor is NOT available FOR/TO any Ghanaian Club.We advise that our forward be left alone to enjoy his football career. By this release the said Clubs have been put on notice and assigned final warning”.
