Former Accra Hearts of Oak midfielder Lawrence Agya Tetteh disclosed to www.ghanasportspage.com how Accra Hearts of Oak managed to torment former Asante Kotoko legend Charles Kwaku Asamoah Acheampong Taylor during their CAF Confederations Cup finals at the Kumasi Baba Yara stadium where Hearts of Oak beat Kotoko 8-7 on penalties to win the Cup. Lawrence Agya Tetteh confessed that Charles Taylor is, in fact, a very good and tactically dangerous player so he asked Dan Queye to provoke him.
“Charles is an extremely good player, has the flair, skilful and also was at Hearts before joining Kotoko”, he let out. The Charles Taylor saga was very heightened because of his history with Hearts of Oak. Lawrence explained that he prayed during the game that Charles would not last the full length of the game.
He explained further that Hearts was determined to win that game at all cost with overwhelming numbers of supporters at the Baba Yara stadium.It just had to be a win.
