Ashantigold are on the verge of appointing former Wa All Stars (now Legon Cities) CEO Oduro Nyarko as their greater Accra Representative and Special Consultant following Kofi Manu’s hesitation to accept the appointment for the position.
Kofi Manu has been widely considered for the said position for the club but has failed to reach agreement with the club on his personal matters during his discussions with the club.
Ghanasportspage.com can exclusive report, that Ashantigold offered Kofi Manu official appointment letter to be the Greater Accra Rep for the club, but the controversial football law expert has till date not confirmed acceptance of the offer due to combination of issues he personally have with the appointment.
Kofi Manu has not confirmed to the Miners whether he will accept the offer or not, and so the club has held talks with former Wa All Stars chief Oduro Nyarko for possible appointment should negotiations with Kofi Manu fall through as much expected to be.
Ghanasportspage.com is reliably informed, that the appointment of the veteran football administrator, Oduro Nyarko in place of Kofi Manu is at its conclusive stages as the club looks to take a stock and close the dockets on Kofi Manu.
With Kofi Manu’s appointment set to be aborted, ghanasportspage.com can reveal that the major point of contention on his purported appointment is the fact that he was implicated in the Number 12 – Betraying The Game Exposé by Tiger Eye PI aired in June 2018, which showed some football officials and referees caught on camera accepting bribes from undercover reporters. If Mr. Kofi Manu accepts the appointment by Ashantigold, there will still be legal implications where the club will have to validate the issues of the Documentary, and this will be another task.
As at now, we can confirm that Mr. Oduro Nyarko has not been offered any official appointment letter by Ashantigold to study, but the club has penned him down as the sole alternative to be offered the job soon after officially aborting Kofi Manu’s appointment before an official announcement of Mr. Oduro Nyarko will be made.
