Ghana Premier League (GPL) powerhouse Accra Hearts of Oak have joined the celebration of the fellow premier league counterpart Dreams FC, as the Dawu based club turns 11 years today.
Founded by current Ghana Football Association President Kurt. E. S. Okraku, Mohammed Jiji Alifoe (current club president) and Vice President, Prince Abdul Hamid, the club was birthed on a day like today, July 14, 2009 at Kweiman in the Greater Accra region, before being moved to its current location at Dawu (also in the Greater Accra region) where a chunk of its success stories originated.
It is suitable to mention that the club has lived up its dreams and the visions with which it was established, and while they zoom into celebrant mood with joyous appreciation of their uncompromising efforts that have brought them this far, Accra Hearts of Oak, factually the oldest club among the 18 clubs of the GPL, have joined their “younger siblings” in their worthy celebration.
