Ghana U-17 women’s national team, the Black Maidens have been invited to begin camping ahead of their 2020 FIFA U-17 World Cup final round qualifier against Nigeria.
The Maidens have been scheduled to assemble at the Cape Coast sports stadium in the Central region on Friday, August 14, 2020 to start preparations for the crucial encounter.
Ghana will face their fellow West Africans, Nigeria in October/November as the search for a slot to represent the continent in the world showpiece surges on. The tournament has been rescheduled to take place in 2021.
Upon arrival in camp, the players, technical team and other essential service providers will be subjected to mandatory medical screening for covid-19 test before activities will officially take off.
To recall, the Black Maidens began the qualifying matches with an impressive 10-0 aggregate win over Liberia over a two legged fixture, before the qualifiers were halted by the outbreak of the novel coronavirus pandemic. Back in camp, coach Baba Nuhu and his girls will look forward to a relentless preparation ahead of the game against continental rivals Nigeria, with all to play for as the bragging right hangs up for the winner.
