Ghana Premier League side Ashantigold SC have officially released six players, with the list featuring James Akaminko, Emmanuel Osei Baffour and to mention few.
Some of the said players have spent just a season at the club, but the Miners have refused to renew their stay due to what they see to be under performance. The list include Benedict Wobenu, defender Musah Mohammed as well as midfielders Stephen Owusu Banahene and Randolf Akwasi Nti.
Ashantigold SC on, Thursday, handed the said players, except James Akaminko, with their released letters. However, the club agreed mutually with the players not to make any official announcement on their release.
James Akaminko on the other hand, is not out of contract with the club and ghanasportspage.com can confirm that the Miners will not be renewing his contract and he is free to join a club of his choice.
The Obuasi based club is presently holding talks with couple of players to augment the squad for their 2020/2021 CAF Confederation Cup campaign, and notable among them is Yahaya Mohammed of Aduana Stars.
