Having spent this summer at Nike after five seasons with New Balance, Liverpool are presenting their new third jersey for the 2020/2021 season. The Reds, who will start the Premier League this Saturday, September 12th with a beautiful display against Leeds, had already unveiled their home and away jerseys.
This new third jersey is inspired by the Anfield Kop but also an iconic black/grey/red air max colour as Scott Munson vice president of Nike Football says: “We explored the club’s ancestral traditions and how we could bring them back to life through the culture of sneakers. So we were inspired by the atmosphere of the Kop of Anfield during the big European Cup matches but also by an iconic color of our Air Max. These two inspirations have been combined to create a third jersey that offers style.
This third jersey of the men of Jurgen Klopp has black and grey checkerboards on the torso while the shoulders are black with a separation with the grey end of the sleeves. There is also a white V-neck and red on the Nike logo and club emblem as well as on the ribs. The logo of the “Standard Chartered” jersey sponsor is white.
Liverpool Nike collection is to be found on their official webpage.
