Nana Akua Amankwaa Quaye, Africa Beach Soccer Women’s development director, is confident that Ghana is ready to host beach soccer Africa Cup of Nations 2022 if the officials are ready to bid for it.
The CAF Executive committee in a recent meeting, opened the bidding process for any country that wishes to host the Beach Soccer Africa Cup of Nations 2022 tournament.
Speaking exclusively to ghanasportspage.com, the alluring television star is convinced that “Ghana is totally committed to fulfilling the specifications of the Beach soccer AFCON. If only Ghana is ready to send the bid to host Beach soccer Africa cup nations in 2022 to CAF, she insisted.
According to her, Ghana has it all in terms of facilities, including beaches that make it easier to host a tournament of that nature provided the leadership of the said federation is ready to, upon the state’s approval, bid for the hosting rights.
“If the country is ready to send the bid then we are ready because we have the facilities across the country. When it comes to Beach soccer, oh Ghana is totally ready. See , if you look at labadi beach, we are really ready, we have beach centers in Takoradi, Cape coast, Keta, so we can prepare ourselves to host Beach soccer Africa cup of nations” she explained.
Nana Akua further stressed, that hosting such a tournament will give the country more exposure on the continent and make Ghana a vibrant nation in terms of Beach Soccer.
“It will be a very good opportunity if Ghana bid to host Beach soccer AFCON in 2022 because we will get the exposure and It will also serve as revenue for market women and men to generate a lot of money. it will be very beautiful if Ghana bids for the right to host Beach soccer Africa cup of nations 2022, just like Ghana hosted African cup of nations in 2008”, she added.
