Accra Hearts of Oak striker Kofi Kordzi has officially completed his transfer from the Ghanaian giants to Qatari side Muaither SC after one month of trials with the club.
Kordzi left the shores of Ghana on the 24th of September to Qatar for assessments ahead of the move and has succeeded in his move.
Muaither SC submitted an initial bid for Kordzi in August but the initial offer was rejected by the Phobians, forcing the Asian club to submit an improved offer for the club’s top scorer in the truncated 2019/20 Ghana Premier League.
According to reports, Muaitter submitted an improved offer of $150,000 with a 20% onwards transfer fee for Hearts of Oak before Kordzi was released to travel to Qatar for assessments.
Hearts Oak confirmed on Saturday, October 24, 2020 that the striker, affectionately called “The Aveyime Drogba” by his fans, has completed a move to Muaither SC.
In his absence, former Bechem United forward Abednego Tetteh is expected to lead the attack for the Phobians in the 2020/2021 football season which officially takes off on November 14.
