Former Ghana Football Association vice president Mr. George Afriyie posted it on his Facebook page expressing his sincere sadness that is happening in Ghana football in 2020.
Barely two weeks ago we lost a hard-working member of the football family Alhaji Yakubu Moro owner of Berekum Arsenal. Prior to that, we had lost football GREATS Akwasi Owusu, Opoku Afriyie, and even lost 8 talented kids who went in pursuit of their dreams under very tragic circumstances.
Ghana football has again been hit hard with news of the sudden departure of Mr. Evans Amenumeh. Mr. Amenumeh was a man who dedicated his entire life to the development of football in Ghana especially at the youth and grassroots level.
I had the privilege of working with him. He was a member of the Greater Accra Regional Football Association and later became a member of the Juvenile Committee as well as a member of the Division One League Board and even became Vice-chairman of the board. He said.
During these times that our paths crossed I saw a father figure in him, he was a gentleman, a jovial character, and above all a true and true football person – a man who believed in the development of youth football. he Testifies.
My heartfelt condolences and prayers go to his wife and children. May the Lord strengthen them as they go through these trying times.
Rest Well, Fo Evans
