Aduana Stars safest pair of hands Joseph Addo has extended his contract with the club for two more seasons 48 hours to the start of the 2020/2021 football season, ghanasportspage.com can exclusively confirm.
The national team goalkeeper, Addo, had his contract with the Dormaa based club run out after the 2019/2020 season, triggering lots of rumours of him leaving the Nana Agyemang Badu II stadium, but these uncertainties have now been put to an end as he commits his future to coach Samuel Paa Kwasi Fabin’s side for two more season.
Joseph Addo signed the two-year contract extension with Aduana Stars on Wednesday, November 11, 2020 at the club’s secretariat.
“Ahead of the game (against Accra Hearts of Oak) the good news is that Joseph Addo has extended his contract with Aduana Stars Football Club”, Evans Oppong, Communications Director of the club told ghanasportspage.com in an exclusive interview.
“This ends all the rumours that he was heading to Legon Cities, Medeama and the other clubs because, he has extended his contract for two years, till 2022 and he will continue to work with us, which is a morale booster for the team”, he added.
Goalkeeper Joseph Addo was very instrumental for the “Ogya Boys” in the 20219/2020 truncated league, where he kept the post in all 15 matches played without being substituted. In the process, he kept 10 clean sheets, conceding few goals.
Addo is looking forward for a great performance this season to earn him a return to the senior national team, the Black Stars.
