Black Stars goalie Richard Ofori assures victory for Ghana ahead of today's game against Sudan.

The Black Stars on Thursday, November 12, 2020, hosted the North African counterparts in the first fixture of a double-header tie at the Cape Coast stadium and lashed them two unanswered goals. The national team of Ghana arrived safely in Sudan Khartoum where they will face the Falcons of Sudan today (17th November 2020), the second league encounter against Sudan at the Omdurman-Blue Jewel sports stadium, the match will kickoff at 13:00GMT. But its 3:00 PM in Sudanese local time.

The Orlando Pirates shot stopper was speaking on behalf of the team on Tuesday, during the visit of Ghana’s ambassador to Egypt, Syria, Lebanon and Palestine, H.E Dr. Nii Okai Hammond.

“Your Excellency (H.E Dr. Nii Okai Hammond), we thank you for the visit, we know what you are capable of, because we were with you in Egypt and you supported us throughout the tournament, Ofori said

“So, what we can assure you is that, we know the team, we played with them in Cape Coast and we know what they are capable of. But we can assure you that the guys are ready.

“As you can see, today’s training, everything went well so the guys are ready and today we will give you victory” Ofori added.

Vice-captain of the Black Stars Richard Ofori says the team is ready for their 2021 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Sudan.

Ghana still tops the group with 9 points, South Africa follows with 9 points, Sudan on the 3rd position with 3 points while Sao Tome and Principe are on the last of the group without any point.

South Africa beat Sao Tome and Principe 4-2 p whilst Sudan and Ghana will play their 4th fixture today (17th November 2020). Ghanasportspage.com will bring you updates.
