Asante Kotoko will begin their 2020/2021 CAF Champions League campaign against FC Nouadhibou of Mauritania at the Stade Cheikha Bodiya, Nouakchott on Sunday, November 29, 2020, at 16:00 GMT.
The two-time CAF Champions League winners were drawn alongside the Mauritanian club during a draw for the competition held on Monday, November 9, 2020. The winner of the two-legged fixture will face either Al Hilal of Sudan or Ugandan giants Vipers FC.
FC Nouadhibou is the most successful club in Mauritania Football, winning their top-flight league eight times. They have emerged as champions for three consecutive seasons since the 2017/18 season. FC Nouadhibou was founded in 1999
The club qualified for the group stage of the 2019-20 CAF Confederation Cup after defeating Triangle FC of Zimbabwe 4-3 on aggregate in the play-off round
Asante Kotoko in their previous stint was axed by Etoile Sportive Du Sahel by 3:2 on aggregate
