The Porcupines arrived at the Kotoka International Airport (KIA) in the nation’s capital on Monday afternoon. The two times champions of the CAF Champions League held the home side FC Nouadhibou to a 1-1 draw on Sunday at the Stade Cheikha Bodiya, Nouakchott.
The reverse fixture comes off this Saturday at 15:00GMT, 3:00 PM local time. Asante Kotoko arrived in the country yesterday to begin preparations for the crucial game with all eyes on qualification to the next stage. “We will play the game at the Accra Sports Stadium,” the Communication Director of Asante Kotoko, Moses Antwi Benefo told ghanasportspage.com. He also confirmed that they are still waiting for the Ghana Football Association (GFA) to approve their request to move their home matches to the Alihu Mahama Sports Stadium, Tamale.
FC Nouadhibou on the other hand, are currently on their way to Ghana for the reverse fixture. They are currently in Senegal and expected to arrive in Ghana on Thursday.
