Accra Hearts of Oak have made significant progress in the establishment of the club’s visionary ultra modern Pobiman Academy project.
The project work which officially commenced on July 3, 2020, has seen tremendous run from the concrete floor construction through to the fixing of the buildings and roofing. Phase one of the project, which started with the concrete work by local construction firm K.A Estates Limited, comprises of eight blocks which include hostel blocks, gym, restaurant and a training centre. K.A Estates completed their section of the project in October last year, paving the way for the Turkish firm Prefabex, who took over the second phase and will handle the rest of the entire project.
The Turkish construction firm arrived in Ghana in December last year with the equipment for the project, and started with the fixing of the structures in January this year to ensure that the work is completed within the stipulated duration of three months.
This week, pictures of the project have emerged, showing the state of work so far on the site and the Hearts of Oak fans have already been wowed by the structures that have been erected so far by Prefabex. The images show the Pobiman Academy project structures erected from the ground floor to roof, some of a storey nature and others with ground floor only. Some aspects of the project are being roofed for completion, while others are progressively edging towards the roofing end.
