Accra Hearts of Oak is working hard to augment the current squad with new players in the upcoming transfer window, ghanasportspage.com can exclusively report.
On Tuesday January 26, the Ghana Football Association (GFA) announced Tuesday, February 16, 2021 as the date for the second window registration for the 2020/21 season, and coach Kosta Papic has revealed plans to bring in new faces brighten Hearts of Oak chances of realising their dream of wining their first premier league title in 11 years.
According to the Serbian trainer, he is happy with the current squad available but needs enforcement in the in the defence, midfield and attacking departments.
“We are working on that, no doubt about that. It’s not going to be a lot of changes but we are working very hard on that issue to bring new players to the squad, there is no doubt about that”, Kosta Papic told ghanasportspage.com in a interview on Tuesday.
Papic however insists there is not going to be many new faces but just a few number to strengthen the current squad. He is unable to tell who are the targets, but is hopeful of their arrival before the window shuts on midnight of Thursday, March 18, 2021.
“At this moment I cannot give you the list and I also don’t know the names but we are looking for developed ones, there are going to be some new faces, defender, midfielder and striker”, he stated.
