WhatsApp group, Asante Kotoko Supporters Corps, has donated various items to the team today ahead of the Asante derby at Obuasi.
The Porcupine Warriors have stepped up preparations to face Ashanti Gold in match day eleven of the Ghana Premier League on Sunday after failing to win Aduana Stars.
The move to donate to the team is to complement the effort of the Management in the era of COVID-19 pandemic. The vibrant group whose sole aim is to support Asante Kotoko SC has done this for the second time for the ‘Reds’.
Their first philanthropic work was when the group took it upon themselves to disinfect the homes of the players when the season was about to kick off.
Coronavirus disease has caused many disruptions which have sent shivers down the spines of many across the world. The pandemic has negatively affected teams across the world and Kotoko is no exception.
The delegation including Secretary of the group, Sasu Danquah High Priest, Esther Pokuaa, Benjamin owusu, Josephine Obiri Yeboah, Adjei kwateng Derrick and Bright Abrokwah made the donation.
Items valued over Ghc2000 donated to the team include Thermometer guns, Mosquito spray, Polar ice, vitamin C, Veronica Bucket, Analgesics, Glucose, Tissue papers, Nose Mask, Sanitizers, Shaving sticks, Toilet Rolls, Bottled water and Soft drinks
The Captain, Felix Annan who received the items on behalf of the team expressed his heartfelt gratitude to the supporter’s group for their thoughtfulness.
Asante Kotoko has amassed 16 points out of the possible 30 and lies on the 5th position.
