Karela United striker Diawisie Taylor has been named Ghana Premier League (GPL) Nasco player of the month for January by the Ghana Football Association after a sterling performance in the month.
The striking expert was nominated for the award along with three others, made up of Daniel Lomotey of WAFA, Maxwell Nii Abbey Quaye and Elmina Sharks midfielder James Bissiu.
Taylor has come out as the star performer among his competitors and has been declared the winner by the FA on Friday.
The Karela United marksman scored his 8th goal of the season in the epic clash between his side Karela FC and Medeama SC at the Anyinase CAM park on Day 11 of the season. Now level on goals with Daniel Lomotey, Taylor is poised to continue his impressive scoring prowess and help his side maintain their lead on top of the league log.
In the month of January, Taylor scored a total of four goals with a brace in the game against Berekum Chelsea and a goal each against Elmina Sharks and Medeama. He also assisted his team mates twice in the month and emerged as won one MVP award.
Taylor has thanked his teammates, the technical staff of Karela United, the fans and his love ones who supported him in diverse ways to be motivated in the matches he has played so far this season. He assured of better output as the season gets tougher.
