South African Premier League side Black Leopards FC have confirmed the return of former Hearts of Oak coach Kostadin Papic to the club as the new “technical manager” of the club 48 hours after his resignation as head coach of Accra Hearts of Oak.
The 60-year old Serbian has rejoined the club on what is believed to be a short term deal, seven years after leaving the club.
Papic resigned from his position as head coach of Ghanaian side Accra Hearts of Oak just after three months in charge of the club, and the club has officially confirmed his departure in a press statement published on Tuesday, February 16, 2021.
Just hours after leaving the Accra based Ghana Premier League giants, specifically on Thursday, February 18, 2021, Black Leopards FC have announced the signing of Kostadin Papic, welcoming him “back” to the club.
Kostadin Papic spent a season with the Lidoda Duvha, when he joined them in 2013 and left at the end of the 2013-2014 football season in South Africa. Before signing for Black Leopards in 2013, Papic had previously coach Soweto giants Orlando Pirates and Kaizer Chiefs. He is not new in the PSL and his arrival at the club this time is expected to yield much better results for the club than it did some seven years ago.
