Aduana Stars defender Farouk Adams has been arrested in Dormaa Ahenkro after he hit a police officer with a car on Wamfie Road.

The center-back is currently in police custody after he was driving from Wamfie to Dorma Ahenkro and his car hit the officer who had closed from a shift at Asuotiano Berekum road. The police officer died at the spot and the body is currently deposited at the morgue. May his soul rest in peace.
According to reliable source of ghanasportspage.com, the accident happened on Monday, 1st March 2021 at 7:00 pm with police number 56637G. Constable Amos Maatey who has met his sudden death was on snap check duty at Nseresu with Sgt. Ibrahim Karim when he sought permission to go to town to buy mosquito repellent.
The report says that he was not answering calls for a couple of hours, and information reached police there was a body lying by the roadside between Asuotiano and Asuhyiae suspected to be an accident victim. The police proceeded to the scene only to identify that the deceased was Constable Amos Maatey.
