Journalists Conference on Friday. The Sports Writers’ Association of Ghana (SWAG) and Betway Ghana will on Friday, March 19, 2021 storm the Volta Regional Capital of Ho for the 5th edition of the Betway/SWAG Sports Journalist Conference.
Journalists from the Volta and Oti regions regions of Ghana are expected to attend the 5rd Betway/SWAG Sports Journalists Conference, which is being organized by the leading online sports betting company, Betway, with support from SWAG – the Umbrella Body of Sports Media in Ghana.
The conference will focus on the influence of media on sports, the role of the media in building sports brands, ethics of sports journalism as well as bringing participants up to speed with global sports broadcasting and writing standards.
Speakers include SWAG President Kwabena Yeboah, SWAG Vice Mr. Maurice Quansah, Mr. Neil Amstrong Mortagbe will together with experts lead young, budding and practicing journalists through the exercise and encouraged sports journalist across the country to take advantage of the training to equip themselves and further display their professionalism in the chosen field.
Betway Ghana has been heavily committed to the course of sports in Ghana especially sports journalist through its media training program in Ashanti, Gt. Accra, Western and the Eastern regions in partnership with the Sports Writers Association of Ghana (SWAG).
SWAG, the umbrella body of the sports media in Ghana now with branches in Ashanti, Bono, Eastern, Northern, Volta/Oti and Western regions, is noted for honouring sports excellence annually through the annual SWAG Awards (the nation’s premier and longest-running national awards) and the prestigious SWAG Cup which is often contested among the top football clubs in Ghana annually.
