Football is one beautiful sport. It’s a sport that unites, entertains, educates, and also serves as a livelihood for so many people.
So many parties have to come together to make this beautiful sport a good game. It gives us three results to talk about. Win, draw, or lose. But no one is interested in the latter.
If you understand this beautiful sport you will realize that one of the three results is bound to happen. So no matter the results we should accept them and move on.
I have realized that so many supporters don’t understand what this beautiful game is. And as a result, take the laws into their own hands especially when their clubs are losing. All they want is to win.
A loss in a game means the officials aren’t good or have something to push them to take certain decisions that they feel weren’t right.
They express their displeasure through violent means. Either assaulting match officials or picking up hooligan act against the opponent team.
This to me is killing the interest of so many people who are willing to go to our various Parks, stadium, or places where these matches are organized to cheer up their teams.
So many examples can be cited. If we want to have a beautiful game, a game that will let many people develop an interest in our sport then a lot of measures need to be put in place to ensure the success of the game.
The FA needs to make sure that the security of the officials isn’t put in the hands of clubs.
. The FA needs to make sure officials don’t deal directly with club managers.
How can you tell the club officials to take care of match officials, feed them, pay fees directly to them and even provide accommodation? When they don’t take anything from club officials the perception of bribery will reduce.
Through social media, FA and Club management should lunch an education campaign to explain some of the pertinent issues to supporters.
Some of them act “foolishly” because they are not enlightened well about the rules of the game.
Officiating officials must be god-fearing and fair. I believe if we want good games and incidents free matches, all of us have to come together to ensure that we have a beautiful game.
