Paris Saint-Germain enacted its revenge on Bayern Munich, eliminating the 2020 UEFA Champions League winners in a rematch of last season’s final.

PSG carried a 3-2 edge into the second leg and it was those three away goals that saw the French champions advance to its second straight UCL semifinals, negating Bayern’s 1-0 win on Tuesday in Paris on a 3-3 aggregate.

With the French champions already missing key players in Mauro Icardi and first-leg goalscorer Marquinhos, Ángel Di María continued to limp after receiving treatment on his leg in the 19th minute. However, the Argentine stayed on and immediately played a beautifully chipped pass into the box for Neymar that went amiss.

In the 26th minute, PSG keeper Keylor Navas nearly gifted Bayern a lifeline when his errant throw eventually created an excellent chance for Leroy Sané, whose curling effort from outside the box sailed just wide of the post.

It wasn’t long before PSG had its best chance of the first half when Mbappé led a counter attack down the left, drawing defenders before laying off a slow pass to a wide-open Neymar. But Manuel Neuer sensed the danger and came up with a big save to keep the game scoreless at the half-hour mark.

Neuer denied Neymar once again after the Brazilian mesmerized Bayern’s defenders in the 34th with a series of stepovers, but his shot couldn’t squeeze past Neuer at the near post.

Then in the 36th, Neymar lashed a shot that beat Neuer but hit the crossbar. The former Barcelona star continued to terrorize Bayern but was unlucky once again when he hit the post in the 39th.

PSG will go on to play either Manchester City or Borussia Dortmund in the semifinals. Man City holds a 2-1 aggregate lead heading into Wednesday’s second leg in Germany.

The Blues lost to Porto tonight (1-0) but the 2-0 success of the first leg allows the Londoners to slip away in the semi-finals of the most prestigious of European competitions.

It was not only the fans of Paris Saint-Germain and Bayern Munich who were anxious throughout the day … Indeed, those of Chelsea and Porto had also counted the hours between them.

sending during this spring Tuesday. Obviously, the English fans were however a little more confident and serene than their Portuguese counterparts, since the team of Thomas Tuchel had won by the score of 2-0 in the first leg in Lusitano thanks to Mount and Chilwell.

On the lawn of Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan of Seville, the Germanic tactician logically left a good team, with a surprise – even if he has already played in this position recently – however: the presence of Kai Havertz at the forefront of the attack, rather than Timo Werner or Olivier Giroud. Opposite, beautiful people also,

The start of the match was like the two teams at the moment: rather offensive, with successions of the phase of possession on one side or the other.

It was the Liga NOS team who offered themselves the first warning of the game, with a mistake by Mendy which allowed Corona to, by blocking his raise, be on the verge of finding the frame.

The Portistas were clearly not shy and even did a fairly high pressing, preventing the Londoners from really deploying their game.

It was not until the 20th minute to see Reece James strike first for the Londoners, but his attempt fled the frame. In the midfield, only N’Golo Kanté managed to pull out of the game on the British side.
