The Ashanti Regional Football Association (RFA) today presented football officiating kits to its District Football Associations in support of the Ghana Football Association (GFA’s) ‘Catch Them Young’ program.
The initiative which was introduced by the GFA was to unearth young refereeing talents to groom them for the future.
The association led by its regional chairman, Osei Tutu Agyeman, presented four sets of jerseys, two whistles, two assistant referees flags and four match balls.
According to the chairman of Ashanti RFA, all the equipment with the exception of the match balls which were given by the FA, were provided by the RFA as their motivation to the betterment of the initiative.
The batch of the ‘Catch Them Young’ initiative are expected to officiate the upcoming regional juvenile league scheduled for May, the next month.
