Former Hearts of Oak and Asante Kotoko playmaker Charles Taylor has said there is no striker in the Ghana premier league currently that can be compared to Ishmael Addo.
According to him even though he played with so many strikers but there was none like the former hearts of oak forward.
“Currently there is no strikers with skills and pace like Ishmael Addo”,
“Ishmael Addo of those days was classic, and have patients in scoring, he always thinks ahead and was always calm up front”, he told Wontumi sports.
Charles Taylor in an interview with Kumasi-based Wontumi FM revealed that the only player that can be compared a little to Ishmael currently is Kwame Poku.
“Currently the only striker that can be compared to Ishmael Addo is Kwame Poku formerly of Asante Kotoko”,
“His style of striking is also almost like Shilla Alahasan, he has the strength and makes good use of both his head and foot, he has the speed when with the ball, he makes sure to score two out of three chances”, he said
“The current strikers in the system don’t play according to their roles assigned them, they do not have control at the 18-yard box”, he added.
