Mustafa Ussif, who has been Ghana’s Youth and Sports Minister for two months has expressed greater confidence in the workers of the ministry saying he has not met the popular mafia group working at the most popular but controversial Ministry.
Asked in an interview with Citi FM whether he is not scared of a scandal ahead at the Ministry and the often referred to mafia group, Hon. Mustafa replied that he believes in the people he is working with and will continue to rely on them.
” The workers of the Ministry are lovely people and I have enjoyed working with them so far and hope we keep on with it. I do not know of any mafia people here and I have not met any”, he said.
He however failed to promise there will not be any scandal in his administration but said he can only pledge to do his best and leave the rest to other colleagues to also perform their duties.
The Youth and Sports Ministry is tainted with lots of scandals under the 4th Republican Ghana and Ministers barely last, as they are booted out whenever there are reshuffles in Governments.
