Eleven Wonders earned the bragging rights after delivering a stunning 2-1victory over regional neighbors Aduana Stars.
Samuel Boakye’s strike in the second half was all that mattered as Eleven Wonders came from a goal down to beat the Ogya lads at the Ohene Ameyaw Park.
Bright Adjei had given the Ogya boys an early lead before Tetteh Nortey pulled Wonders level in an action packed first 45 minutes of football.
Aduana Stars did their best to make life difficult for Wonders but the Techiman based club hanged on as they suffer in the most part of the second half.
Wonders were far from their best and failed to create goal-scoring opportunities in the first half, offering hopes for Aduana that they might be able to prolong the frustration.
Aduana Stars captain Bright Adjei put the visitors in front with a smart finish in twelve minutes of play.
The host responded after eight minutes when Alex Asamoah was brought down in the 18-yard box for a penalty to the home side. Tetteh Nortey stood up and perfectly placed the ball beyond Masawood Inusah to put Eleven Wonders level before the break.
The visitors started well in the second half with Bright Adjei, Sam Adams, and Samuel Bio threatening Wonders with series of fascinating counter attacks.
Wonders took a while to pose any real threat but one fine move down the middle saw wonders going close.
The techiman based club made two substitutions when they introduce Suala Draman and George Osei Amponsah to add some energy in the team.
Bright Adjei was involved again after a smart move with Sam Adams but Wonders defenders were on alert to clear.
However, the narrative changed just ten minutes later, it was 2-1 and game over when Samuel Boakye fired the Techiman based club to victory.
