Hearts of Oak head coach, Samuel Boadu, has reacted to his side’s 2-0 defeat to Dreams FC in Dawu last Sunday.
Boadu has now gone two games without a win following the 2-0 loss to Dreams has blamed the defeat on Nuru Sulley’s red card..
The Phobians were reduced to 10 men in the game after defender Nuru Sulley was shown the exit for receiving a second yellow card.
Speaking at the post-match, Samuel Boadu said the numerical disadvantage affected their playing pattern.
“We were playing well but it was quite unfortunate we got a red card in the second half and it also affected us in our play. So with the transition, everything changed.” He said
Dreams opened the scoring from Sulley’s foul conceded around the 18-yard box before adding another through a sloppy defending by the Phobians.
“Goal conceding…the last goal was very bad but am not disappointed. They played to my satisfaction, we created a lot of chances but we couldn’t utilise them. We are going back to work extra for our next match.”
Despite the loss, Hearts of Oak maintain their spot in the top four, 4th, but are 5 points adrift Medeama who are on 39 points at the top.
