Asante Kotoko are planning to boycott this season’s MTN FA Cup competition, Oyerepa FM reports.
According to the reports, discussions are underway for a possible pull out from this year’s FA Cup.
In a letter set to be delivered by the club to the GFA, the club has cited enormous player injuries at the club as their reason for the boycott.
The annual domestic cup competition suffered a four-year unforeseen hoodoo spanning from the Anas expose to COVID -19 setbacks and is set to return in the coming weeks.
Flagship sponsors, MTN Ghana, recently coughed out hefty amount of money into the championship for the next four years.
The last time the tournament successfully ended was in 2017 where Asante Kotoko SC spanked arch-rivals Hearts Of Oak SC at the Tamale Sports Stadium.
