One of the finest performances in recent memory saw Olympics recording an enviable 3-2 victory over WAFA in Sogakope
A fairly controlled ninety minutes of football saw Mudasiru connecting perfectly to Joshua Rule’s incisive pass in the 93 minutes.
Konadu Yiadom had given Olympics a 2-1 lead but the Sogakope based team rallied to pull level 15 minute to end the game but Olympics had other ideas.
Olympics started on the front foot and instantly broke the deadlock through inspirational captain and in-form Gladson Awako. A superb free-kick bending it right to give Olympics the lead.
The Sogakope based team came close but couldn’t break down a determined Dade boy before the break. WAFA made two quick substitutions to change the dynamics of the game. Kelvin Boakye Yiadom and Godwin Agbevor were introduced after the break.
Olympics were at it again. The visitors made it two through an own goal from Konadu Yiadom. WAFA responded in the 65 minutes when Enock Asubonteng gave the host a lifeline after pulling one back.
Olympics, looking to stay hot and put the game beyond WAFA, were caught out in the 75 minutes when Justus Torsutsey headed home the equalizer. Abdul Manaf Mudasiru latched onto a dinked Joshua Rhule’s pass and guided home a finish after a threatening counter-attack to give Olympics a stunning 3-2 victory at difficult grounds
