Former Asante Kotoko striker Kwame Opoku scored his first official goal for new club USM Algiers in the Algerian League Cup against MC Alger.
The prolific striker was handed a starting berth to feature for the Red and Black lads on his birthday at the Stade Omar Hammadi.
Opoku who turned 22 years today registered his first-ever goal for USM Alger on the 19th minute of the game.
Ahead of this game, Opoku had scored three goals in training matches and was in great form ahead of his first official match.
At the moment, the second half of the derby is ongoing with USM Alger holding on to their lead.
The 21-year-old signed a four-and-half-year deal with USM Alger after an impressive first round in this season’s Ghana Premier League.
Opoku scored nine goals in 20 official games for Asante Kotoko before his exit.
