The Legon Cities striker has prioritized his side’s survival in the Ghana Premier League (GPL) over his individual achievement for the remainder of the season.
Hans Kwoffie says with Legon Cities battling relegation, winning the goal king is not his main focus.
The former Ashantigold man has 11 goals to his credit and thus place third in the race for the golden boot, just two goals behind Karela United’s Diawisie Taylor who leads the chart with 13 goals.
However, the one time GPL goal king winner says the Royals maintaining their Ghanaian top-flight status is his utmost priority.
“Every attacker wants to score goals but my focus is not on the goal king. Helping Legon Cities to survive relegation is my target because that is why I joined. It will be plus if I win the goal king and help Legon Cities escape relegation but winning goal king is not my priority,“ he said in an interview with Ghanasportspage.com
Hans Kwoffie joined the Royals mid-way through the second and has scored 5 goals in 8 games.
