Hearts of Oak’s livewire, Ibrahim Salifu has revealed how the team is eager to end the club’s Ghana Premier league trophy drought.
The Phobians last won the Ghana Premier League in 2009 and have since struggled to get their hands on the trophy.
However, the diminutive midfielder who has been in superb form since switching camp from Eleven Wonders to the capital-based club in the second transfer window believes his side can arrest the over a decade trophy drought.
“We want to end Hearts of Oak’s 12 years league title drought this season. We want to win the league and we can win it.“ He said after Hearts beat Bechem United on Wednesday.
Salifu continued his fine form on Wednesday after scoring his debut and the only goal that ended Bechem United’s home invincibility this season.
“Bechem United have not lost at home, so we had to come with determination which has helped us get the win.” He reacted to the win
Hearts of Oak are second on the league log with 40 points, a point behind leaders Asante Kotoko.
