WAFA has recorded their second consecutive victory after edging out struggling Legon Cities on Saturday afternoon.
The home side started the game brilliantly and piled pressure on the Royals.
WAFA had the chance to take the lead in the early stages of the game from a free-kick but Legon Cities goalkeeper, Syvester Sackey managed to keep the ball out.
Their pressure finally paid off as a Justus Torsutsey finally broke the deadlock in the 31st-minute to see the game through for the home side.
The Academy Boys contained Legon Cities throughout the rest of the game to pick up their second consecutive win – having defeated Medeama last weekend at the Akoon Park to jump into the fifth position with 38 points.
Legon Cities on the hand now sit on the 15th position with just 26 points after the defeat.
