Defender Samuel Frimpong has committed himself to Asante Kotoko SC by signing a new two-year contract with the club.
The former BYFC star has put pen to a new deal that will keep him at the club for the next two years, the club has announced.
Frimpong’s contract with the Porcupine Warriors was left with few days to end and could have walked away to another club but the Red and Whites have decided to tie him down for another two years.
The 24-year-old joined Kotoko from division one side Bekwai Youth Academy before the club loaned him out to Karela United during the truncated premier league season.
Asante Kotoko have been impressed with the right-back’s performances since the start of the season and had tied him down until at least 2023.
Samuel Frimpong is currently an important figure in coach Mariano Barreto’s squad, featuring in 16 games for the Reds in the Ghana Premier League.
