Communication Director for Ghana Premier League side Ebusua Dwarfs, Abeiku Okyere has disclosed that his outfit found it dubious after the Ghana Football Association Disciplinary Committee discharged a ruling against them.
On Wednesday, the Disciplinary Committee announced the ruling between Legon Cities and Ebusua Dwarfs. According to the committee, match day 23 fixture between the two teams at the Cape Coast stadium recorded unpleasant scenes which ended the game prematurely.
Having been found to have forfeited the match, Ebusua Dwarfs FC shall be considered as having lost the match in accordance with Article 33(3) and 34(12) of the GFA Premier league regulations and accordingly, three points and three (3) goals are hereby awarded in favor of Legon Cities FC. Asuch, Ebusua Dwarfs FC will be deducted three (3) points and three (3) goals from their accumulated points from their previous matches pursuant to Article 33 (5)(a) from the GFA Ghana Premier league regulations.
Ebusua Dwarfs in addition, will pay Five Thousand Ghana Cedis(GH¢5000.00) as punishment and One Thousand Ghana Cedis (GH¢1, 000.00) to Legon Cities FC as transportation cost.
However, the team has a period of 24 hours upon receipt of this ruling to appeal to the Appeals Committee of the Ghana Football Association.
“We have received the ruling from the Ghana Football Association but it’s dubious upon arrival”No doubt, we are going to appeal on it”
“At the moment, we will not honor any part of the ruling being monetary issues or whatever”We have team of competent people to appeal and we will come out victorious”, he told Ghanasportspage.com in an exclusive interview.
He added that; “Our name always ring a bell, Cape Coast Mysterious Ebusua Dwarfs we are noted of doing mysterious things in the Premier League”We will not be relegated, we have nine matches to go should all be accumulated is 27 points and you all know what that can do on the league log”
