Hearts of Oak midfielder maestro, Salifu Ibrahim has identified ex-Black Stars captain Asamoah Gyan as the greatest Ghanaian footballer of all-time.
Gyan remains an idol in Ghana due to his immense contribution for the Senior National team.
After making his début for the senior national team on 19th November 2003 where he scored his first-ever goal for the Black Stars against Somalia, the man affectionately called Baby Jet demonstrated his lethal prowess to Ghanaians.
“Based on what I saw as a child growing up, Asamoah Gyan is my all-time best player,” Salifu said in an interview with Kumasi-based Fox FM.

Asamoah Gyan, who now plies his trade with Ghanaian side Legon Cities FC remains Ghana’s all-time top scorer with 51 goals in 106 appearances and Africa’s leading top scorer with six goals at the FIFA World Cup.
Meanwhile, Salifu Ibrahim nicknamed ‘Di Maria’ has set up six goals with two goals to his credit in the Ghana Premier League so far.
